Can i make it illegal or impossible for my wife to attain alcohol?

My wife is an alcoholic and it's tearing my family apart. She has been to AA with little success and continues to drink. I know she can still get alcohol from friends but I can make it very difficult for her if she can't buy alcohol herself. Any ideas or things you know are welcome.
