Looking for some advice on custody, supervised visits?

♦ I totally understand why you would want to do that --"text him and tell him that i will be taking our son to the cottage this weekend and will not be back in time on monday and to continue the visits starting next weekend" -- but I wouldn't. I would let him have his little 3 hours a week with his son. Now if and when he stops coming to those, and if he ever runs off again, (changes number, location, and etc..) At that point I would go petition the court to charge him with child abandonment and get full (total) custody of the child. Thats IF he pulls that stunt again. Other than that I would just go along with his 3 hours a week, and be the better person in this situation. Eventually your son can learn for himself, that momma did everything she could, and dad hasn't (with his own experiences - the child's experiences). Let the dad make his own mistakes, and do your best.
