What do you think of this idea?

At first, I didn't think it would be something I was interested in, but once it got going, it sounded like something I would enjoy. However, I doubt someone would cause all that trouble because their father was fired. It seems a little weak compared to the rest of it, and if I read that ending, I'd feel cheated. Stick with it, and I think it could be good.
